   Hi again, Alvin! It’s Roy in Canada.

   I just read your newest post, and you really have to get someone to read and correct these for you BEFORE YOU SEND THEM OUT. If you send messages like this to a North American audience, you are shooting yourself in the head!

   Even your headline has an error: it should read: “We will BE migrating to a faster server!” A better headline would have been….

   DO YOU THINK FASTER VIDEOS WOULD INTEREST YOU? or perhaps

   “The doctor Ordered a much Faster Server!”

   In reality, the customer does not give a damn about your server….only what it can do for him and the speed is the thing, so your headlines have to catch and hold on to their attention in terms of solving one of their problems or relieving one of their pains. Always write your copy and especially your headlines remembering the radio station: WII FM (which stands for: “what’s in it for me?”) that is all the customer is interested in.

   Once again, I hate to be so hard on you; but you NEED TO HEAR THIS and act on it. They will dismiss you. An American-based server is not the answer to your biggest problem. It’s not how you dleiver your product….it’s your basic product!

   Pay someone to “word-smith” your copy before it goes out. Make it flawless with no spelling, good grammar, and bright, sparkling words that paint pictures in their minds and make them want to see and learn more….from you.

   There you go….free advice is worth what you paid for it…..
